Quan Yin Statues

My supplier of products recently made a huge find. His
brief story is below:

We traveled by train for 3 hours, deep into China to the
poorest part of a village. Our journey continued on foot
until we met an old man who claimed to have a treasure to
sell. We cautiously walked through narrow alleys until he
stopped at a crumbling brick warehouse. He opened the
cavernous door so daylight could flood the room. What I saw
took my breath away......

Cluttering dusty shelves and most of the floor were more
than two hundred wood, bronze and stone Temple Buddha, Quan
Yin and other statues of unbelievable beauty. Brought to
this village from all over China and Tibet, statues as
small as 6 inches tall and as large as 6 feet tall revealed
themselves through the thick coating of dust, to display
fine gold painted and hand sculptured detail.
